Error: buffered memory access not supported

I am trying to upload the latest firmware sck_beta_v0_8_6 via Arduino 1.0.5-r2.
I have chosen LilyPad Arduino USB as the board. I have a SCK Urban Shield v.1.1.
The upload fails with the following error message:

Found programmer: Id = "BÛR"; type =
   Software Version = . ; Hardware Version = .
avrdude: error: buffered memory access not supported. Maybe it isn't
a butterfly/AVR109 but a AVR910 device?

What am I doing wrong?

You get the up Device in “tools/Serial port/”?

I am not sure I understand. Can you please revise your question? Nevertheless, I am trying to answer your question.

When I attach the board to the computer a new serial port shows up in the Serial port menu. The new port is COM5 which I choose then.

Ok, then the computer will detect the SCK. What operating system do you use? If it’s windows, you update java?

Success: I used another USB cable now - a shorter one. This time I could actually upload the firmware.

For completeness: I used Window 7 and Chrome and Java 1.7.0_10.

Hi @tbsprs! I am really glad you finally were able to find were was the problem. We will take good note of this for the future. Thank you!
