Reconnect an already used kit after three years - HELP

Hello Community,

I hope there is an easy fix for our problem:

We have two smartcitizen kits (2.1) and both were already set up and running until three years ago when they went offline. Now we are trying to get them back online. So we removed them from our profile (at “https://smartcitizen.me”) did a reset and started all over again with the instructions on how to set it up.
We are only able to get to the step where we should use our mobile device to connect to the SCK-Wifi. When we do so it should open a window for a further set up on the mobile device, but nothing is happening for us. If it doesn’t work, it says we should visit “http://SCK.ME”. But this website seems to not exist. We are confused and looking for help, so if anybody experienced something similar and can help us please let me now.

Nice to see that you are using the SCKs again.

We are only able to get to the step where we should use our mobile device to connect to the SCK-Wifi. When we do so it should open a window for a further set up on the mobile device, but nothing is happening for us.

This is normal with newer versions of Smartphone OS(s) - Android or iPhone now seem to not bring up this window. Sometimes, they ask something like: This network doesn't have internet access, do you want to keep connected to this network? If that comes up, you should tell your phone to keep using that network.

It seems like your phone is disconnecting from the SmartCitizen[...] Wifi because of what you mention later about the http://sck.me page.

If it doesn’t work, it says we should visit “http://SCK.ME”. But this website seems to not exist.

So, when you visit the http://sck.me page, make sure you are still connected to the WiFi. Also, sometimes your phone browser might keep the previous page cached, so using Private Mode helps too.

Heey, thanks for the quick reply :]

I made sure i was still connected to the SmartCitizen[…]Wifi and tried to reach the website “http://sck.me” but it shows me only: “sck.me FOR SALE …” basically asking me to give an offer to buy/rent that domain. I also tried in private mode like you suggested but the same thing happend. :confused:
