SCK dead?

Hey,

My SCK hasn’t updated in 2 days.
I unplugged and replugged it three times already. Don’t know what else to do now.
Here is a link to a video file where you can see the blinking sequence of the LEDs.

Try the sck_check firmware, and paste in this post he writes the Arduino terminal.

sorry. It isn’t clear to me what I am supposed to do.
Do I need to download these files? They don;t seem like files that can do anything on my Mac…

What is an Arduino terminal? Where do I get one?

You just need to upload the firmware @mdeheras linked to and check what you get in the serial monitor

Copy the text and send it back to us and we will tell what might happen

I am using a iMac and Firefox and having same problem but have never managed to upload data. the kit is not communicating with my router although its signal can be picked up on my iPad.

I have tried the SCK_check.ino
and get the following response:

Trying to connect.
Device detected.
Firmware version: WEB_APP-1.06
Started as web_app
Wifi device is corrupted :frowning:
Want to test the EEPROM? (y/n)

When I type y I get:

3…
4…
5…
6…
7…
8…
9…
10…

Please tell me what should I do now?

What is normal when you write tests the EEPROM, it takes a few minutes. In any case it seems that the wifi module is corrupted. I notified the team will contact you.

climbed on the roof, removed the SCK, brought it in, connected to my mac.
Started working again.

I think I’ll safe myself the trouble a bit for a moment. I’ll bookmark the topic in case something goes kaboom again.

@dosch great! no worries, it might happen that the hardware gets dumb, even in best families happen! it is the miracle of the reset, on/off or reflashing the memory, some of the few mysteries of computation
