My sensor stopped working on April 8th and I can't get it to reconnect

My SKC 2.1 sensor https://smartcitizen.me/kits/18399, connected in Colombia in the city of Medellín, stopped connecting to Wi-Fi on April 8th. It couldn’t reconnect. I left it in factory settings. I tried connecting it but couldn’t. It reached the handshake, but it doesn’t go to the geolocation page.

I have another SKC 2.1 sensor, and it also hasn’t been able to connect to Wi-Fi.

I read that there was an issue on April 8th. My sensor disconnected that same day and became inoperable.

I NEED URGENT HELP, WHAT A SHAME. I MUST RECONNECT THEM.

I have exactly the same problem. Watching this post with you…

Hello @jairomurciav

We need a bit of more info to understand the issue, as we are not able to replicate it from Barcelona. Can you help us by providing the following?

  1. Connect with the shell: Using the Shell - Smart Citizen Docs if you are using chrome, you can do it directly on the link

  2. Type:

    mqttsrv

    ntpsrv

These should be mqtt.smartcitizen.me with 1883 and ntp.smartcitizen.me with 80.

  3. Type the following: outlevel 2

  4. Keep the kit with its token and Wi-Fi configuration (let me know if you need your token) and paste the complete output (redacting any credentials and token)

Thanks

I have no knowledge of Arduino, but I tried it from your explanation, I have the sensor key, in my eagerness I reset it, I tried to connect it reset but it does not connect. I tried what you explain, with Chrome and Edge, I left the parameter in “/ n” I connect to the port, in the window I type mqttsrv, but nothing happens. I leave you a photo, the modem firmware is outdated, I think I need to update the Wifi firmware but I read and try but I have not been able to do it.

Thank you very much for your help.

I think I need to update the SAM and ESP, the kit is version 2.1, could you please tell me which SAM firmware I am trying to update and which ESP firmware, but I don’t know in what order I am trying to update, if the ESP first and then the SAM. I have already tried to update with a mobile phone but it won’t let me choose the file to download to the mobile and I couldn’t. I know how to update by connecting the SKC via USB, clicking reset twice and accessing the SKC folder, I put a firmware in it and it didn’t work, I put the one I had again, previously saved and it returned to normal but it won’t connect. I am having trouble updating, I will try with an iPhone, I couldn’t with an Android. THANK YOU.

Hello @jairomurciav

You can check this answer No internet, off mode - #6 by oscgonfer for the firmware file question.

Let me know if it works, otherwise can see other ways to give support
